Thoughts: Although the animation is still good, this episode was a little disappointing. There wasn’t any character developments, and lots of silly moments. IMO, this episode was rather pointless, with a goddess with magical powers and a robot sphere picking garbage at night. At first I thought the episode had potential, with the supernatural beginning. With Riku, Mina and Tsukasa going to investigate the situation I thought something important might actually happen, guess i was wrong.
An “unique” episode, that once again showed Riku’s incompetence. I have to compliment the animation though, I hope, at least, the animation stays that way.

Summary: The Tsumugino High school wonders research group, is off investigate the school church at night. They encountered something terrifying inside the church, making them scream. Near the church was the garbage dump, and inside was a furnace which burst opened, a sphere glowing with bright light flew out, causing everything around to collapse.

The next day, there was a conference involving Yagen-sensei (yes the crazy scientist) about an experiment. He promise there is no chance of the experiment going out of control. With that the Chairman’s secretary decides to seal off the church area at night. This lead to complaints from the pupils, since they are busy preparing for the cultural festival.

As Riku carries some trash to the garbage dump, he notices the abnormally large amount of rubbish there. Suddenly Tsukasa appears out of no where to greet him, she explained to him every year rubbish accumulate from the festival’s preparations, she also tells Riku about a rumor about a ghost in the school church. While they are having their conversation, a woman with an afro and a broom, interrupts, saying Ghost does exist. Having no clue who this woman is, Riku and Tsukasa forced a smile and left.

Yusuke, Itta and Doujima, decides to “solve” Sayuri’s “problem”, by going to investigating the church themselves. Equipping themselves with guns and tight body suits, they charge in. That is when they realize behind them was a big black sphere with a red “eye”. Yusuke and Itta was defeated easily, where as Doujima manage to dodge the attack. He uses his special move “Soderyu”, which infact was only in his mind. The next morning Riku, once again, goes to dump some rubbish, where he hurts his finger. The school nurse inspecting the damage, was surprised when the suspicious woman healed Riku with her powers.

Mina was leaving school, late at night when she saw a black sphere with a red “eye”. Next morning, everyone was surprised when they saw burnt marks all over across the school. Tsukasa invites Riku to go and investigate, when Mina suggested she should also go since she saw something suspicious yesterday night. At night, the three walked into the church with Tsukasa feeling pretty calm, Mina and Riku crapping their pants. They turn round to find the Sphere trying to force its way into the church. To their rescue was Yagen-sensei, explaining that the sphere was actually a high tech recycling robot and escaping through the back door, they thought they were safe.

The Sphere lands on Yagen-sensei, giving him an afro. The three, ran away as fast as they could, until they were cornered, then the magical woman comes and banished the “evil”. The episode ends with the woman saying she is a goddess, and returning into the furnace on the way there she bumps into a box, which cause everything to fall on top of her.

Rather long summary for an episode, that i described as “pointless”.
