Thoughts: Although there wasn’t much to move the story along (which I am sure I am not the first to point out), the quality of the animation was good, in fact a little better than i had hoped for. Plenty of Mai Otome humor with lots of Haruka action, it was also nice to see them bring in a few minor characters as well. Arika, however, didn’t do much, but I guess it’s good to focus on other characters, so everyone gets a decent amount of screen time. Still not quite sure who this enemy is, but it seems we learn a little more about it, sure is getting interesting. Seems like we will get to see even more characters in action next episode (which is ages away SIGH~~~). Poor Yukino T____T.

Summary: It was reported to Yukino, who is president, that there has been a terrorist bus hijacking near the east border of Aries Republic. The terrorist threatens to detonate a bomb, if Nagi do not get released immediately. This was a cause of concern especially the president re-election is drawing near. The Delta Otome squad had already been deployed for operation “silent sea”. When Chie was about to commence the operation, Haruka enters with a megaphone. The streets cheers for her, before she could finish provoking the terrorists to blow up the bus, Sara smashes a big wooden mallet onto Haruka’s head knocking her out.

Back in the tent, Sara informs Haruka and Chie, that Arika is actually aboard that bus. Hearing noises, they exit the tent, to see Wattarl Ishigermin (another candidate for the president re-election) standing on top of a van. He claims he is here to solve the problem, when Haruka stops the van. Actually he was there to intorduce his lover to the world. It turns out his lover was Tomoe, the citizens shouting out the window, calling her the traitor who betrayed them. Thinking that they are being mocked, the terrorists threatens to kill one of the hostages if they don’t stop the nonsense at once. The hostage was Arika, who was still half asleep when she did become aware of where she was she shouted out to greet Haruka and Chie. The terrorists still not knowing who Arika is, Chie tries hide the fact she is in fact a Meister otome. However that was all ruined when Tomoe told the terrorists who she was, hoping to get her revenge. Without knowing the consequence, Arika said she cannot use her Otome powers since Mashiro was not there.

Yukino offers to trade herself for the hostages, to negotiate. However once Yukino is on the bus, they refuse to release Arika, since she is Nagi’s greatest enemy. The Surrogate System activates, Sara materializes her robe. The otome commence their operation, fire at the bus and Haruka dashing towards, it Sara flies in and disarms the bomb. Everything seemed to be over, when suddenly something huge erupted from the ground, bring the bus high above the ground. A child came out of the stone structure, leaving Yukino and Haruka hanging onto the bus. Glancing at each other, they nod their heads, Haruka lets go and they form a contract in mid air, allowing her to materialize.

Sara carrying Arika and Yukino to safty, while Haruka fighting the child. Sara was attacked by the mysterious enemy, luckily the attack missed, but it was enough for Sara to see, if she was hit she will be turned into stone. Soon the Surrogate system terminates and Sara’s robe dematerializes, it was then the winged enemy stopped attack. Staring deeply into the enemy’s face, she recognizes part of the face. It looked some what like Shinso, a previous Meister Otome. Mean while, Chie commands her squad to go into Delta formation, this defeats the child.

Switching target to Yukino, the Shinso look like swoops down to attack, when Haruka manage to attack her from behind. To Haruka’s surprise the Shinso look like mange to break free of her weapon, and manages to hit Haruka with a red beam of light. Before turning to stone, Haruka threw her weapon and score a direct hit onto the head, however the enemy just flew away. At the prison Arika and Natsuki finds out Nagi knows something about this life form. He said that the otome’s nano machine had hardened, although shows life form their bodies are as hard as rocks. He claims that all this information came from a book he read, from Artai. The episode ends with Nao meet Nina at a pub.
