Death Note 26: To be continued? It better!

Thoughts: Um. Did I order a repeat show? Perhaps if they’d have summarised past events in an exciting two minute clip I would have been happy, but thirteen…Uh, I don’t think so. Yes I suppose it was to mark an end of an era, but did they have to mark with so much detail? Well, at least the rest of the episode (the 6 ½ minutes of it) was ok. We see the start of the creation of the new world! Ah, and Ryuuk thought things would get less exciting? I think not!

Summary:Cunningly, we see Light deny wanting to take over L’s place. As planned the team insist he should take over. Concealing his pleasure, he insists he’ll be more cautious than L. He also tells his father it’d be easier to act as L and Watari from his own apartment. Chief Yagami is elected to take care of the death note, despite Matsuda volunteering (and then disgusing it poorly).

Misa and Light go on a date with Ryuuk close behind. Light proposes living together with Misa. Naturally, Misa is ecstatic. Well so now the Kira and Second Kira will be in the same house! What a scary thought.

At night, Ryuuk and Light talk on the rooftop. Ryuuk seems excited by Light’s plan to create the new world. Not so boring after all when you come to think of it, don’t you think? Criminal after criminal, he scribbles their names down.

He even rids of the criminals that previously worked for them. And it’s been a long time coming for the Yotsuba group who die almost simultaneously around the table. We even see blood excape from Namikawa’s mouth.

And the scene is set. Kira has almost become law. But in a distant orphanage L’s death has been discovered. And it ends there with a promise of to be continued.
