Shakugan No Shana Second - 03

Summary:
Shana and company try to figure out if Konoe is really Hecate or just a look-a-like… and in the end, it only seems Yuji’s harem got bigger… to no one’s surprise, right?
The episode starts where the last one left off. Konoe is introduced to the class and before she even takes a seat, Shana casts fuzetsu to investigate her identity, but she unexpectedly finds it odd that Konoe was in a complete stasis like a normal human. Not seeing any response from Konoe, Shana brandishes her sword at her, which also yielded no result; they had hypothesized that if Konoe was Hecate, she would somehow fight back. Yuji adds that he sense nothing strange from Konoe and then Shana decides to give it a rest and go into observation mode instead.
What happens next was a little odd:
1. Konoe insisted on taking a seat by Yuji, much to the dismay of Shana and the girl who was kicked out of her seat.
2. Konoe wonders who will take her out textbook for her in class and then dumps her them out from her bag all over the floor.
3. After that, she takes out a table cloth and covers the top of the desk with it.
4. When it was gym time, she asks to be dressed.

At lunch time, Yoshida and Yuji try to assure Shana Konoe is a normal human (except just a little peculiar), but Shana was not convinced and insists it may be an act, so they decide to ask Margery to help investigate. Margery casts an unrestricted spell on Konoe, but Konoe does not notice, much less respond. So after school, Shana follows Konoe to a shrine and it so happens that a Tomogara was following Shana, which was a part of Shana’s plan to try and get Konoe to reveal if she was Hecate, since Hecate would not just stand there in the fight between Shana and the Tomogara.

The Tomogara fights Shana with his rings, but they do not harm her and he is totally humiliated in the process. During the fight, the Tomogara is injured and needs power of existence to heal itself, so it decides to use Konoe, who was still frozen in the fuzetsu cast at the beginning of the fight. Shana lets the Tomogara attempt to drain Konoe until the very last minute; Yuji shows up and tells Shana that is enough. Then Shana throws her sword at the Tomogara, piercing and killing him finally. At last, Shana is finally convinced that Konoe is human after the incident because her non-action indicates it.
The next day, all is normal, except Shana and Yoshida get jealous of Konoe who gets close to Yuji.
Thoughts:
Let’s see… this whole episode focused on Shana and Yuji trying to figure out who or what Konoe is. In the end, they seemed pretty convinced she was human. I on the other hand, am not convinced at all and will not fall for such trickery. I still think there’s something wrong with the picture; Konoe must have some kind of secret role yet to be revealed. In any case, with the problem resolved (for the moment at least), Yuji’s harem seemed to have gotten bigger now that Konoe is onboard.

Yoshida and Shana are not pleased.
By the way, has anyone else noticed the Shana clone?
