Myself; Yourself 08: “G-Chock”

Thoughts: This episode was much “heavier” than I had initially expected, meanwhile it still feels like there are too many things going on at once, the pacing of the show is rather… unusual. Having said that, this episode sure was interesting and it does seem to make a connection to Sana’s past, perhaps we will soon find out what that “G-Chock” (haha) watch is all about.

It turns out that Yuzuki-sensei’s role was simply to give Sana a bit of encouragement to sort things out. This came to me as a bit of a surprise, since I was expecting something a little more significant and it’s really something the episode could have done without. Although, as Sana left the park, Yuzuki-sensei realised the boy she had met years ago was infact Sana, so may be this could lead onto something later on in the series.

What had happened to Nanaka in the past few years, has finally revealed. Her parents died in a fire and ever since she has changed. Probably something we had all expected, but what was interesting is Nanaka seem to have triggered something to remind Sana of his own past. Not sure if it’s good or bad memories yet, but I am guessing its a rather tragic one. Hopefully this will bring Nanaka and Sana closer together.
Just a thought, bad things (like a fire) are caused by villains right? For now I can only think of the evil cat killer. But since M;Y has been rather random so far …..

I have yet to see this episode… the teacher’s kinda’ random, isn’t she? Well, I don’t mind having some of HER caramels though… Ahem.
Nanaka’s long, emotional speech near the end of this episode was outstanding, proving yet again what a terrific voice actress Koshimizu Ami is. After episode seven, I was ready to quit this show in disgust, but that speech changed my mind.
I have to admit the final scene had quite some impact to it, it seems like the show is actually going somewhere now xD
