After a disappointing start, this episode seems a little better, or perhaps it only felt better because of last episode, which demolished any expectations I should be having for the series.. The episode focuses on a new character called Pinocchio, there was a little bit about his past and how he has been brought up to be an assassin. It looks like his choice of weapons are knives, although in the flash back it was quite the opposite, may be that’s what caused him to hate guns. So, I guess that makes him the perfect enemy for the girls at section II.

Franco and Franca are back, though I don’t remember their names being revealed at all through out the first season. They have always appeared a bit “classy” to me and this episode seems to show us that, they aren’t just “any terrorists”. Also don’t forget that their bombs are meant to be the best around. Their target this time is to bomb some bridge being built across the Strait of Messina, on top of that they are partnered up with Pinocchio. This ought to make things very interesting.

In terms of plot and how fast things are progressing, it really is different to the first season. Since I haven’t read the manga I can only guess, but I think this is where the “introductions” are over. The first season is an exploration of the relationship between the characters and what kind of operations Section II carried out. Now though, it has more of a story, each episode doesn’t seem independent any more, something bigger is going on. This was probably why the episode was focused on the terrorists, in fact there were only one scene at the end showing Section II tell us who’s going where.

( What a transformation!)

What the hell happened to Angelica?! Don’t get me started…. I’ll just hug my DVDs and weep.
