Summary: The intrusion of the level three akuma has forced Bak to abandon and seal off the northern sector. At the same time Fou stalled the akuma by disguising as Allen, she was prepared to sacrifice herself. After much convincing, Bak finally decided to let Allen return to the northern sector to rescue Fou.

Thoughts: I want more. Although it’s no surprise that the episode ended where it did, by the end I was really craving for more. This episode was very well done and the pacing was perfect for it to conclude exactly at that point. Sure, there were one or two lame jokes here and there about Bak stalking Lenali, but generally the execution was good.

I was quite surprised when Allen said that his heart was constantly searching for was the akumas, since he had always wanted to protect and has been fighting because of that. Whereas here, it sounds like he wants to fight. Judging by the preview, it looks like Allen regains his innocence next episode, I wonder what else is different apart from the appearance.

The akuma briefly mentioned something about using the “ark”, I wonder what it meant, most probably something to do with Noah’s Ark. That might explain why he was able to get all the way to the Asian branch so quickly. Nevertheless, it looks like he’s in for a bit of owning next week. Can’t wait!

No wai!
You mean to tell me that D Gray-man actually keeps it interesting?
If I ever watch again, it would be for Lenalee.
This series ran for much longer than I expected, I’m still a little behind, I think it will get a little better but I kind of lost interest around episode 20
Tokidoki, tbh I only marathoned it just not long ago and I think untill the 52nd episode, the show doesn’t get much better. But now, though I can’t wait for the next episode ^^;
