Summary: Making the dark sphere expand, the Earl destroys Edo. Somehow, the exorcists manage to survive, but they did not escape unharmed. In order to protect Lenalee, her innocence once again encases her in crystal. Almost immediately the Earl catches attention of this and sends his minions to attack. Even with the help from Froi the exorcists could not keep the Earl from Lenalee, whom is helplessly imprisoned in crystal. As the Earl launches his attack, Allen arrives just in the nick of time to guard Lenalee from danger.

Thoughts: Predictable, yet awesome! The execution and pacing of the episode was rather impressive, the attacks from the villains were consistent, building up a sense of urgency to keep the Earl and Noah family from Lenalee and in turn making it very intense and exciting. Unlike the last few episodes, where Tykki sort of stopped attacking for the sake of convenience, they just kept on coming. Tykki, Skinn, the giant Akuma and even the Earl himself.

First time seeing Froi’s innocence properly, and I can only ask why he didn’t use it earlier >_>;. I wonder if it can take another form since it wouldn’t be very convenient if he had to summon something huge like that every time. He is definitely a much stronger Marshall than Yager, let’s just hope he will put up a better fight than Yager did. Lavi is approaching his limit with his body and at one point they even tried to trick us into believing Skinn actually killed him. Miranda is just Miranda, nothing special going on with her. Bookman and Krory seems to be out of commission, which is good since I’ve had enough of them bashing their jaws and throwing needles at the akuma.

Poor Lenalee, I am slightly worried about her innocence and if it really is the “heart”. Of course it is showing a weird phenomenon, but all it means is that her innocence has a will of it’s own, much like Allen’s. If indeed it turns out to be the special one the Earl is looking for, thing’s aren’t going to be fun, she’ll feel even more like a burden especially with her inability to fight at the moment. But I am just glad that she is safe for the now, for a second it looked like she was going to be violated by the skulls >_>;.

Last but not least, our hero finally arrives! I’ve been waiting for that moment for at least 2 weeks now, and oh man, it didn’t disappoint. And what a good opponent he got himself there to show of his new weapon to, the Earl himself. From the preview it seems like Kanda attacks Allen, probably due to the confusion, but nevertheless, I am looking forward to next episode.
