Summary: With sudden the appearance of Allen, the Earl was forced to retreat. Shortly after that a reunion followed, while everyone were happy to see Allen, they had no time to spare, they must discuss their plans and what to do next. Tiedoll suggested that a retreat would be sensible because there is a real lack of exorcists at the head quarters. However, Lavi reminded everyone of the speech Lenalee gave back on the ship, many sacrifices have already been made for them to get this far, they cannot allow themselves to give up now. With that, things were settled, they were going to push on and find Cross. However, their break was cut short when Relo suddenly appeared and warped Lenalee away.

Thoughts: It has always been the case, a good cliff hanger always makes the next episode seem less awesome. Not to say the episode was bad, not at all, in fact it was very good. Although it felt as though there was something missing, I mean in the last episode Allen’s appearance was so well done I was expecting a more dramatic reaction from the others. Other than that, the episode was pretty well done, the emotions conveyed were delivered and it really felt like it was a reunion which made them happy.

We do not only get to see another glimpse of Allen’s new innocence but also the Earl in action. Have to say, it was quite satisfying to see the Earl surprised over and over again by Allen’s new power, although I think it’s safe to say he won’t be underestimating Allen anymore. Surely if Allen can fight “equally” with the Earl, it’s an indication that he is as good as a Marshall already. I think they should make Allen Yager’s replacement ^^;.
Not much to ay about the other characters, may be with the exception of Lavi. Bookman briefly reminded Lavi of his duties as the to-be successor of Bookman, but at this moment I don’t see the importance at all, perhaps it’ll play a bigger role later on. The ending to the episode came as a real surprise, up until the end it was really a mixture of angst and happiness as a part of their recovery after the fight, but kidnapping Lenalee will really shuffle the story along. Seems like the suspense is ongoing, after all it is a shounen series.
