Summary: Kanda stays behind to fight Skinn Bolic while the group moves on through the next door.

Thoughts: New OP and ED, I can’t say I like them too much but I guess it’s nice to have a change. The new OP sequence shows some promising stuff, hopefully it is a forecast of what is coming in the near future. It looks like everyone will get a bit of action, not only all the marshalls but also others like Choa Ji (not surprising given the voice actor) and that big squid lady whose name I have forgotten. If I am not misinterpreting it, something uncanny will happen to Komui which will probably trigger something to happen involving Lenalee. Of course I couldn’t careless for Komui, I just want Lenalee to have long hair again T__T.

The episode itself was rather slow and dull. Allen and friends managed to move onto the next room, lots of action there. There was a scene with Tykki and Road trying to justify their reason for playing this “game” and not just leaving the exorcists to die, which, unfortunately, didn’t really offer a half decent explanation at all. May be Kyokii was right, “the villain is doing it for teh lulz ”.

I am not particularly impressed with the current “Ark” arc, so let’s hope it ends soon. Having said that, if the remaining marshalls were to fight, I suspect it won’t be anywhere near Edo which means the story will be split into two again (for the love of Shana please don’t let that happen). I guess only time will tell, but before that, it looks like Kanda is in trouble.
