Code Geass R2 02: Geass, the new commodity

Brief Summary: Following Zero’s orders, the Black Knights escaped from Babel Tower and headed towards the Chinese Union’s Consulate-General. There, with the help of his geass, Zero announced the reformation of the United States of Japan. With that the Britannian forces were forced to retreat since it has turned into an “international matter”.

Thoughts: Another tactical escape, in many ways this episode reminds me of the first season (especially the way Zero gave his instructions “Q1, P4”)and why I loved this so much. A lot of the questions I had in mind were answered as well, namely what happened at the end of last season. Although not everything was revealed but enough for us to see why things are the way they are now. As usual, the episode kept things very interesting at a fairly fast pace and finally finishing off with a cliff hanger (Damn Sunrise and their infamous cliff hangers).

The reappearances of the older characters were nice to see, especially Nina, here expressions never fail to amuse me. Not to say the new characters aren’t interesting, we caught a glimpse of the knights of rounds (LOLI!!) and of course, Rollo. I am guessing he is under the emperor’s order to keep an eye on Lelouch in case anything happens, although he doesn’t seem to be doing a very good job. Nevertheless, I am eager to know what his geass ability is. I hope there will not be any more geass users since I think it’s becoming too common… won’t be long before they start selling them in shops.

Lelouch seems to be showing a little more care for his comrades, something that was previously reserved only for Nunnally, this was demonstrated through Urabe’s death. Towards Kallen too, they seem to be getting closer, may be Sunrise will surprise us all by turning Code Geass into a full harem. Go Kallen!

That reminds me to put up a new poll for Kyokii and Nova. On IRC they were (and still are) having an epic argument as to who is better, C.C or Kallen. They were putting forward their arguments, like who was better for * CENSORED * or * CENSORED * (I know… those sick bastards). So please vote, just to put an end to their friendly dispute. Besides, I am interested in who is the preferred one out of them.

    What about the loli princess? She’s the only loli I’d accept in Geass.

    Best part of the episode for me were
    -revelations
    -Kallen/Lulu conversation (nice vibes here)
    -How well the episode moved from the action to the Zero speech

    And I don’t knwo about anyone else. But I felt fot Lelouch when he was screaming when the Emperor erased his memories.

    and guys she’s not that Loli. She’s apparently close to Suzaku in age…..wait that doesn’t make a difference… Loli!

    @ Deranged, HAREM! Although I don’t think sunrise will live to make another show if they did that….

    @ H, er…yeah! boobs!

    @ Totali, of course you would, wouldn’t you? >=P

    @ Kyokki, so you don’t love C.C any more?

    @ Avisch, Yeah I was surprised that Lelouch lost completely and had been arrested. As deranged pointed out on irc last night, it was a bit lame how the bomb just flew off his chest <_<;;
