Summary: With Rolo behind him and ready to pull the trigger, Lelouch began to explain Rolo’s real ability. His geass doesn’t give him the ability to actually stop time but it does allow him to temporarily disable his victim’s senses, hence their movement. Although surprised, Rolo didn’t care because he was planning to kill Lelouch anyways. That was, until Lelouch gave him two reasons not to pull the trigger. One was that if he dies, Rolo will never be able to arrest C.C, the other was about giving Rolo a future, one that isn’t just about killing and taking on missions. With that, Rolo agreed to co-operate temporarily.

Meanwhile back at in “Japan”, Li Xingke told C.C that he will kill the Consulate-General and the Black knights will take the blame for it, in return he will not harm her.

The next day, just before the execution was about to start, Zero made his preparations for the rescue operation, which included using his geass on Darlton’s son and a Britannia officer. At the same time, Rolo stole Lord Kamen’s knightmare and identification code. He had to do that since officially he is supposed to be at some shopping centre monitoring Lelouch.

As the execution was about to begin, Zero appeared. He challenged Guilford to a one on one challenge, only one weapon allowed. Whilst Guildford went with his lance, Zero asked for a shield. Everyone thought Zero was going to die, but when the duel commenced the floor started to shake. The building was collapsing, the same tactic employed during the first rebellion. This was the work of the Britannia officer that Zero had geass’d as part of the preparation. As Zero rode his shield down the collpasing building, the Britannian forces were pretty much wiped out and later forced to retreat.

Rolo headed for Zero, everything that he was promised was a lie. As he was about to deliver the final blow, Darlton’s son fired his sniper rifle. Rolo couldn’t escape, it was too late to dodge. Just as he was about to be hit, Zero used his knightmare to shield Rolo. Filled with confusion, Rolo asked why. Lelouch explained that he loved Rolo as a little brother, even though the memories were fake, he loved him. He then went on to tell Rolo that his place is at the Order and not Britannia. With that lie, Lelouch had “caught” Rolo.

It was late at night, Suzaku returned to Ashford academy.

Thoughts: Seems like Lelouch just acquired a very powerful pokemon tool. Lelouch’s ability to act as two very different people never ceases to amaze me, and when I thought the whole switching personality thing was over, he goes and create a new role for himself, a loving brother. I wonder how long Rolo is going to stay loyal to Lelouch and more importantly how he is going to fair against the knight of the rounds, since he is on the Black Knight’s side now. I mean surely even Suzaku can’t fight against some one who can stop his movements. Hmm, yes… Suzaku getting blown up, sounds good!

Seems like being manipulated by the geass runs in the Darlton family. I found it rather amusing that both father and son were forced to betray their allies, especially how Andreas (the son) was geass’d straight after he claimed that he will make Zero suffer and avenge his father. Who’s next? May be he has a brother or something. I have to say though, his sniper knightmare did look quite cool perhaps we will get to see more from him later in the show.

The whole issue with Li Xingke felt a little “cheap”, he wanted to use the Black Knight’s name to kill the politician, fair enough but at the end of last episode he made a big deal out of it, about how he is going to destroy the Black Knights. Looks like it was only put in to make the cliff hanger a little more powerful.

It was another good episode, the Black Knights are slowly gaining power again and more characters are getting involved. The loli princess is back too, although I am still a little confused as to what her actual role is apart from making fan boys out of certain people. Suzaku has also returned to school, should be fun seeing Lelouch put up another act while making a soliloquy about how much of a bastard Suzaku is for betraying him.

Yeah…. I am one of those fan boys… she has to do something apart from her magnificent introduction… she will be important I swear!!!

Weird how Lelouch’s soliloquy always has him sans clothing head shot at least from the first season i can remember… fan girl pandering that… I guess it balances out.

You know Haruhi has imprinted itself on a populace when I look at that last shot of the preview… and Shirley looks like Mikuru to me. Yup, broken. Of course, Lelouche got Rollo to wear the pink apron along with Rivals, so at least he got out of THAT particular duty…

I love evil Lelouch. Damnit, I wish Rollo was somewhat smarter … he’s so yandere~~

No way Rollo will be able to stop Suzaku. Suzaku will like start running on the ceiling out of range of Rollo’s Geass, or something like that. You underestimate Suzaku’s ability to cheat when it comes to all things physical in Code Geass. Also, Rollo appears to be dumb as a brick.

Next episode, Lelouch buys Rollo a t-shirt that says “Best Brother Ever”, and Rollo’s loyalty will be sealed.

At least Andreas got a good shot on Zero. Even though it was all part of the plan, that story should impress everybody back home. Beats the heck out of being Orange-kun, anyway.

As much as I hate to admit it and want to see him die, Kabitzin is right, Suzaku can’t be stopped, even by Rolo hax. If anything, I’m going to bet that Lulu’s “Survive” order will cancel out Rolo’s geass and Suzaku will come out just fine.

@ Deranged, lolicon alert! she better be… otherwise … well, lolis.

@ Haesslich, haha they Suzumiya no Geass?

@ blissmo, go join the rebellion! Worship Lelouch as your leader!

@ kabitzin, rofl. Can’t get Rolo under control? just get him a present!

@ Shirukii, nearly forgotten about that. Lelouch should really start using his geass for “follow my every command” instead of specific tasks. In a way it’s like wishing for more wishes. lol.

Anya and Gino will be used to show how Suzaku has “friends” but doesn’t really care about them until Lelouch nearly kills them off.

I see Gino dying for some reason….

I agree Running. Soliloquy will happen, I predict 8-12 minutes into episode, or maybe 4 minutes in (right after Suzaku introduces himself…. again).

I agree. It disappointed me that it didn’t carry the powerful feeling to this episode.

And here are some my unpublished feelings (they will be in my episode 4 blog post) on Rolo being manipulated

My thoughts are as such: Obviously Lelouch is insanely angry at Brittania and Suzaku for rewritting his memories and using him. Lelouch could be taking pleasure in a sort of “you used me, now I’m using you” feeling by manipulating Rolo. Taking revenge in a wierd way.

@Ruki: I wish I could join. But I don’t know how to use a Knightmare!!

@ Avisch, Rolo is going to be his personal sex slave. He can stop time too, a useful little bugger is he not?

@ blissmo, don’t worry i am pretty sure they are user friendly. Just look at episode 2 of 1st season, Lelouch learnt how to use one in a flash. You will do fine, now go get yourself an application form
