Code Geass R2 06: New pew pew weapons!

Brief Summary: Just as Lelouch was about to be uncovered, he caught sight of Rolo standing behind Suzaku. With Rolo’s ability activated, Lelouch managed to get himself 5 seconds to tell Nunally that he is going to pretend not to know her. With that, Lelouch managed to end the conversation without being suspected.

Later, the Black Knight launched an operation to capture the new governor of Area 11, Nunnally. However, their plan was interrupted by 3 members of the Knight of Rounds and Guilford. As Lancelot flew away with Nunally on his hand, Lelouch screamed.

Thoughts: A lot of action this episode, what made it even better was all the new machinery they’ve put in. The main attraction being Guren’s new equipments as well as seeing Gino and Anya in action. Despite the cheesy mid-air mounting process, which reminded me a little of Shin’s Impulse, the new Guren is pretty awesome. Instead of a powerful arm, it now has an over powered arm and not to mention the portable Gafion Net missiles (however you are supposed to spell it >.<;) and the Gawin style jet pack. Apparently all that was not the main reason for it’s power, it was Kallen’s piloting… right.

There were loads of other little bits which were pretty interesting too, like the brief scene about the Emperor and V.V. Seems like they have some sort of contract to kill God, I wonder how they plan on doing that. Use his Geass on God? Or may be even send Suzaku to fight God. I mean with Lelouch’s “Survive”, there’s no way Suzaku could loose right? It seems that V.V. Is the Emperor’s brother, so I guess that make’s V.V. Lelouch’s uncle.

The Black Knights seem to have lost another one of their more skillful members. Got to feel sorry for him, I mean he only got out of prison last episode. I guess this demonstrates how powerful the Knight of Rounds really are (despite the fact that Kallen did own them later in the episode) . Almost all the members of the “special” unit in the Black Knight had their units blown up, I wonder if this is going to be their excuse for introducing more and more Knightmares.

The whole thing with Lelouch trying to find a way to retrieve his sister without hurting her seemed a little drowned out by all the action. Perhaps it’s because of the slightly disappointing start to the episode, where Rolo popped out of no where and used his geass without even knowing what was going on. Miraculously, it managed to save Lelouch from being busted. What he should have done was killed Suzaku, that guy really needs to die. When Lelouch saw Nunally as Euphie I suddenly had a thought, one that involves Lelouch causing Nunally to die. Let’s hope that’s not going to happen.

Onto the lolis. Got a heavier dose this week with the loli princess’ flashback, which happened to have another loli (or shouta?). To top that off, we saw loli Knight of Rounds in action, although she really doesnt seem that impressive so far, just imagine if Kallen didn’t kick and used that arm instead. The loli master hasn’t posted yet, but head over anyways, I am sure his post will be filled with loli goodness.

I wonder how the story is going to progress from here, it looks like things are going to get a little more complex than just “taking down Britannia”, now that we have this “let’s kill God” thing going on. Anyways, good episode. Next week seems to be a lot of talking again, a little Lelouch x Rolo too. Great.

Oh man this episode was incredible. Non stop action.
New equipment with Laksharta coming back…that mean Diethard is back! More Jouji Nakata.

Great way to begin the episode….considering the Cliffhanger of last episode.

This episode didn’t have a cliffhanger. But it still ended great. With Nunnally hearing Lelouch’s voice.

I wouldn’t let Deranged touch my lolis with a ten foot pole!

Why is it that Sunrise is hell bent on making us hate Suzaku more with each passing episode? It’s ridiculous. If they don’t kill him at the end of all this, I’m going to explode in RAGE.

@ Deranged, Imouto?! I hope she’s not a loli…. otherwise I feel sorry for her.

@ Avisch, speaking of cliff hangers, this must be one of the few episodes that didn’t end in one…

@ totali, your lolis? how many have you got? mind sharing a few? xD

@ Shirukii, it must be some sort of new hate formula they are using, my hate for him is probably on par, if not exceeded my hate for Makoto.

So anyway, I loved that corny scene where Kallen got the thingys for her Guren. Really awesome stuff.
